THE RIVER BETWEEN US: CULTURAL TRADITIONS
Explore the artistic and cultural activities that make these two river cities unique. St. Louis and New Orleans are historically linked through trade as well as social and cultural exchange dating from the pre-historic Mississippian cultures to today’s boom in cultural tourism where the past is a saleable commodity. We will examine the echoes of the past that impact our present through the far-reaching artistic activity in The River Between Us.
Thursday, August 8, 6 — 8PM Museum Lawn
