ART CLASSES AT LAUMEIER
Laumeier's Education Department offers year-round classes and workshops for children and adults (ages 4 and up) at Laumeier Sculpture Park both indoors and outdoors. Art classes and workshops are designed to help participants gain a greater appreciation and understanding of art, develop artistic skills and talent for self-expression.
COFFEE AND CONVERSATION SERIES
Laumeier Sculpture Park is offering a series of workshops on collecting contemporary art with tips, practical information and resources to help take the fear out of purchasing original works of art. Whether you would like to start collecting for fun, investment or for that special connection you find in a work of art, Coffee and Conversations with artists, art dealers and art experts will introduce you to an informed art buying and collecting experience.
THE ART OF COLLECTING: JEWELRY
Saturday March 17 10am-12pm
Increase your knowledge of 20th century jewelry and gain insight into one of the most collected and wearable forms of artistic expression. Artist Sherri Jaudes will share pieces of her own creation and discuss the fundamentals of Metalsmithing and Jewelry making, while dealer Gary Hansen will educate us on the history of jewelry design and its market, focusing on the most collected eras from several historical periods to the 1950s.

THE ART OF COLLECTING: PRINTS
Saturday April 21 10am-12pm
Build your personal art collection print by print! Learn the basics of printmaking and publishing with Joan Hall, artist, professor and former Director of Island Press, a research-based printmaking workshop at Washington University in St. Louis. Our guests will discuss the ever-changing market and the appeal of printmaking as a highly collected art form.

Saturday May 19 10am-12pm
As more and more sculpture parks pop up across the coutry, art collectors are taking a fresh look at an artistic practice that we at Laumeier have been celebrating for 35 years! Join Marilu Knode, Executive Director at Laumeier Sculpture Park, as she discusses the history and evolution of sculptural practices in the 20th century. Mark Howald of Ivey-Selkirk Auctioneers will take a closer look at the market trends and why this art form has such widespread appeal to private and public collectors.
