Annual Fundraising Events
Each year Laumeier hosts a fundraising event that supports ongoing educational and exhibition programs. The biennial gala, produced in odd-numbered years, is a more formal affair, while the intervening event, in even years, is a themed experience targeting the adventurous.
Biennial Gala at Laumeier
More than 200 guests gather each Autumn as Laumeier is transformed into a nighttime spectacle with exquisite dining and entertainment in an unparalleled setting. Proceeds from the event, set for October, 2009, benefit Laumeier programs and operations.
Fall Fundraising Event
This is a themed party at a mystery location site within Laumeier’s 105-acre campus. Proceeds from the event, planned for Oct. 11, 2008, benefit Laumeier’s education and exhibition programs.
30th Birthday Bash
2007 marked Laumeier Sculpture Park's 30th Anniversary. The milestone was celebrated with a 30th Birthday Bash on Friday, October 5th. The fund-raising gala honored those who were influential in the development of the park and museum. The birthday party featured Charlie Brennan of KMOX as master of ceremonies, catering by Bryan Young, music by Jazz St. Louis and The Gary Dammer Sextet, birthday cake, a strolling magician, a live auction and fireworks (sponsored by Des Lee). The live auction of small sculptures from artists with a connection to Laumeier raised funds for Laumeier’s educational and exhibition programs.
