CLAY WORKSHOP/
Family Wheel Throwing

Share a potter’s wheel with your family member and learn basic wheel throwing techniques working side by side! Follow a step-by-step demonstration along with other families while you work on creating a small bowl or dish. Learn how to add hand-built embellishments and collaborate on color to make your project truly special.  

Due to limited space, each registration is limited to one student and one caregiver. Leave your project with us to be kiln-fired and pick up your finished piece the following week.

Mud + Merlot: Ceramic Pocket Frames 

Turn your favorite memory into a handmade keepsake! Bring a few photos, postcards, or artwork to inspire your next creation as you share these memories with fellow creative adults. Learn how to build a pocket frame from clay using simple handbuilding techniques and pre-sized templates while you sip wine in Laumeier’s clay studio. Personalize your frame by adding colorful underglazes that will make your photos pop in your home or office! Bring your favorite adult beverage; light snacks provided. Pick up your finished piece the following week.

CLAY CLASSES /
Wheel Throwing / Ages 16+ 

Learn the techniques of wheel throwing and glazing to make functional clay pieces and non-functional sculptures. Designed to serve both first timers and those well-experienced in wheel throwing, this class allows for one-on-one instruction in a laid-back environment. Class may be repeated.
