Laumeier Docents provide tours of the Park grounds, actively involving visitors in conversations about contemporary art. These vibrant volunteers interpret contemporary art for visitors of different ages with various backgrounds and interests, from across the region and the globe. Following the completion of an in-depth training course (offered twice per year), Laumeier Docents are expected to pay annual dues ($50), attend month meetings and provide six tours annually. Laumeier Docents must be ages 18 and up.
Administrative Volunteers assist with Museum Shop operations in the new Adam Aronson Fine Arts Center and with general office operations including sorting, stuffing, stamping and addressing mailings, etc. Administrative Volunteers must be ages 16 and up.
Education Program Volunteers
Education Program Volunteers assist in a wide variety of ways. Opportunities include assisting with both administrative and program-based projects related to Laumeier’s education programs, including interacting with program participants. Education Program Volunteers must be ages 16 and up.
Event Volunteers assist with the production of the Annual Art Fair at Laumeier on Mother’s Day weekend and other events throughout the year. The minimum commitment is four hours. Event Volunteers must be ages 16 and up or accompanied by an adult.
Garden Volunteers help plant and maintain the manicured areas and living artworks around the Museum Galleries at Laumeier. Garden Volunteers must be ages 16 and up.
